Subject: Protein and Membrane Trafficking in Plant Cells
About the Speaker
University: University of Wisconsin-Madison
Research Interests: Research focuses on the regulation of vesicle trafficking mechanisms in plant cells. The goal is to understand how cells control the flow of proteins and specialized metabolites between different cellular compartments.
Current projects include: Endosomal sorting of membrane proteins for degradation; Delivery of seed storage proteins to the vacuole; Trafficking of anthocyanins; Membrane structuring proteins.
