Subject: Unfolded Protein Response in higher plants

About the Speaker

Institute: Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Taipei, Taiwan

Abstract: Canonical Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) is known to be achieved through a cross talk between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and nucleus in eukaryotic cells. In recent years, cumulative evidence has suggested that higher plants may have evolved non‐canonical UPRs, in which plasma membranelocalized proteins contribute to ER stress tolerance. The seminar will focus on non‐canonical UPRs in Arabidopsis.
