Xinyu Fu

Brief biography: Xinyu obtained her Ph.D. in Plant Biology (Minor: Statistics) at Iowa State University with Dr. Basil Nikolau, studying the compartment-specific metabolism associated with acetyl-CoA and acyl carrier protein. She was trained to dissect the complexity of plant metabolism using various techniques, including genetics, biochemistry, metabolomics, and stable isotope labeling. With an interest in understanding metabolic network at the system level, she joined Dr. Berkley Walker’s group as a postdoc, working with an interdisciplinary team to develop analytical and modeling tools to quantify metabolic fluxes through photosynthetic metabolism.
